Analytical Hypnotherapy effectively identifies the client’s innermost conflicts. By targeting and examining deep-seated beliefs and memories, this insight-oriented therapy pinpoints the causes of persistent problems, with the goal of resolving them and releasing the client’s potential.

Analytical Hypnotherapy is written for professionals in need of an authoritative guide to this effective method of therapy. Providing a complete exploration of its theoretical roots, and a unique investigation into the ways in which it has influenced a range of current therapeutic philosophies, this book presents to the clinical practitioner the ultimate means of treating even the most stubborn of therapeutic disorders using analytical hypnotherapy. An eclectic, wide-ranging book, Analytical Hypnotherapy examines not only the orthodox analytical approach, but also aspects of humanistic thinking and cognitive strategies which concentrate on activating the client’s inner resources, and more specifically, the Unconscious mind. Containing practical guidance on the application of effective therapeutic investigation using hypnosis, Analytical Hypnotherapy contains numerous examples and case studies that cover:

  • transference and counter-transference

  • defensive strategies

  • dreams and symbolic imagery

  • therapeutic investigation.

A groundbreaking reference for everyone in fields of hypnotherapy, psychotherapy and counseling, this book contains everything you would want to know about analytical hypnotherapy.

"Analytical Hypnotherapy … is a remarkable book that I would unhesitatingly recommend to both students and seasoned practitioners alike …

Review
"I can truthfully echo the words of others who have reviewed this book and say that it should be on the required reading list for every student. Those who have been in practice for any length of time would also gain enormous benefit from reading this book - it's so easy to lose sight of basic concepts and theories as new techniques become available and this book serves as a valuable reminder that the basics are sound and useful, and moreover, they work!"
